Fundamental Investing - An Example
During the april 2008 Drop in the market I starting trading stocks to gain from the rebound. I emphasized day trading with a little swing trading. This worked. But, anything would work in this time frame. I look at it now and see that long term fundamental trading was the winner. Lincol Financial is a typical example. I bought at the lows. It went up four times that value. I only made little gains with day trading and it cost me a lot of time.

This is the crystal ball. All day on cnbc they have opinions on the economy. But, the best place to look is history. History will tell you that cycles are normal. It is not important to have a boom all the time. It is not healthy to have a boom all the time. Today we are in a steady slow economy. We are not in a world war. There is pessimism and optimism all over the place. Take your pick.
